The Kidney Center at Bangkok Phuket Hospital, Thailand is a multidisciplinary patient care team providing advanced treatment for short-term and long-term kidney disease. Our team consists of full time nephrologists working in combination with nutritionists, and clinical nurse to review and assist all aspects of your lifestyle for early detection and treatment of kidney diseases.

Education Programs
- Chronic Kidney Disease program: Nephrologists work with patient care team to provide consultation and education to prevent or delay the progression of chronic kidney disease and the development of complications.
- Kidney transplantation program: Our transplant programs are multidisciplinary, with combined medical-surgical clinics and inpatient services
- Nutritional consultation: patients with chronic kidney disease need to limit their intake of protein, salt, phosphorus and potassium to prevent further complication and slow progression of chronic kidney disease.
Pharmaceutical Services
Pharmacists provide pharmaceutical care for kidney disease patients who usually take several medications together. Our pharmacists:
- Provide knowledge and understanding of medications, e.g. information on how to take medications, how medications interact with the body, and medication side effects (and how to minimize them)
- Educate to improve patient’s desire for drug administration adherence
- Assess and identify drug related problems such as drug interaction, duplication, allergy, etc. and work with your doctor on how to minimize negative side effects
- Perform medication review for patients who have more than one physician or disease

While conventional hemodialysis uses diffusion to remove toxins, Online hemodiafiltration makes use of convection, a more efficient process for the optimal removal of a wider spectrum of toxins. Online hemodiafiltration is a new treatment modality for end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients that expands the spectrum of uremic toxin removal from small-sized solutes, as in conventional hemodialysis (HD), to middle-sized and large molecular weight solutes by combining convective clearance with diffusion. Growing evidence suggests the superiority of Online HDF compared with the conventional HD technique in many aspects including :
